Auxiliary gas used when cutting different steel/metal .
Auxiliary gas is the necessary when cutting metal/steel. But why different metal/steel need different auxiliary gas? Because different metal/steel is with different physical components.
When fiber laser machine cuts stainless steel, Nitrogen is used. When fiber laser machine cuts carbon steel, Oxygen is used.
When to stainless steel, carbon contents is less, besides there are rare contents such as chrome, nickel, molybdenum. Nitrogen is enough as auxiliary gas when cutting.
When to carbon steel, carbon contents is more, oxygen is necessary to give a combustion-supporting power to achieve better cutting results.
So bad cutting effect and waste your materials when use wrong gas or mix these 2 gas together. Please pay attention!
